I have been in the midst of writing another novel, (previous works not to be seen by any eyes but my own) and it is the first time I have been really exited about something that I am writing. I don’t want to give too much away but I was mainly inspired by the strange short stories of H.P Lovecraft.

The novel (it currently has no name) has aspects of horror, the uncanny, a dark parody of religion/cults and a constant uneasiness as the unreliable narrator struggles to perceive his own reality.

There were a lot of things that inspired me, some of them personal experiences – parts of it are difficult to write because of this. My fundamental hope is that as I keep writing, it will turn into something more substantial than a novel but I am not putting too much pressure on myself.

I am five chapters in on my first draft. I may put up an excerpt of the first chapter in the foreseeable future – definitely after some rigorous editing (and spell checking).
